New Evangelization:  We are called to renew our faith and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.  We are called to be witnesses and one way is to effectively use the media, i.e., blogs, websites and other technology.

For reflection:  As we enter the Year of Faith, what opportunities do you see in your life to evangelize, i.e., yourself (by transforming self) or by sharing the Good News in community?

For Journaling or Creative Writing:  Use the prompt, “Footsteps of Faith” to journal or to write a poem or story.  What do you think of when you reflect on these words?  Who are the persons that you remember?

Writer’s Notes:

Writing With Angels.

O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today!

Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.

O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today,

Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.[

We sang this familiar song, suggested by one of the writers, during our ‘Crowning of Mary.” Some say it originated in Italy, and is sung during May.

A young child, dressed in white, led our procession where we crowned the statue of Mary with fresh flowers.

We anticipate some interesting stories from the writers on their experience!

Our writing group is very pleased with our collection of stories for our Lenten journey.  These stories from the parishioners inspire us in all seasons.  Congratulations to the writing group, Writing With Angels!  Will we have a Fall Sequel?

In the meantime, we exercise our memories and welcome our new members!
