Hector Muñoz is celebrating his first jog! Another successful milestone.
Sunday, May 16, 2010
Mary,
“You missed my jog!”
I ran yesterday at the Y, well just jogged, but I was able to move my legs. All my muscles ache after running, so I think this is the final piece to my recovery. I need all the muscles to run and that might be what is holding back the arm, hand, elbow, the ankle, and the list goes on, but one by one they are getting overtaken.
I want my story heard by as many people.”
Dear Hector,
Yes, I am so sorry to have missed your first jog. While we hear of many ‘runs’, ‘marathons’ and ‘walks’, it is important to celebrate one individual’s first jog! Together, we unite in a common journey: to overcome challenges and inspire others. I applaud your accomplishment.
Mary.
Stay posted. Hector’s story of the strength of the human spirit and other works will be featured in “Life Stories at the Y.” TBA
