Las Mujeres Despedida. A Farewell to Las Mujeres Writer’s Group.
Las Mujeres celebrated with the women writers and Platicas participants. After three anthologies, many years of meeting as a writers’ group, with poetry and stories, writing critiques, and collaborating with various groups in the city, Las Mujeres closes this ‘chapter’ and begins another. Las Mujeres served the community in various ways and appeared in many venues. Our three anthologies are now in the Latino Collection of the Central Library Downtown.
Congratulations for the awesome time and work.
I am very proud of my role with Las Mujeres, a quite beautiful learning experience.
“There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
We celebrate our lasting legacy. Now, writers, where do we continue with our awesome creativity?
Writing With Angels is a writing group that I facilitate weekly.
or join us for “Exploring Sacred Moments with Women of Heart, Faith and Hope” as we gather for 3 Saturdays of Reflection with just a ‘taste of writing’. Let’s see where that takes us as we journey as people of faith, creativity and beautiful artistry. See my page “Stories of Faith’ on this blog for registration.
